Season 2, Episode 31: Unsolved: What if We Never Find Out Who Murdered Our Dad?

Four sisters from Texas need your help to find out who murdered their father in 2011. Eighty-one year-old Don Askew was living in Winnsboro, Texas when someone entered his home and stabbed him multiple times in the chest. To this day, the sisters and the local authorities don’t know who or why.

How often do murder cases go unsolved? Project Cold Case estimates that in 2019, the average clearance rate in the U.S. for new homicides was a dismal 58%. Police in Wyoming have the best solve rate at 86%, while Illinois scrapes the bottom of the barrel at 36%.
